"Having attended various exercise classes in dusty village halls over the last 30 years, it is a joy to go to Studio One. It's a lovely environment and Sarah is always very welcoming and enthusiastic. I genuinely look forward to my class."
Studio One's doors were opened in 2007 after extensive refurbishment. We have two studios, our main fully equipped exercise and dance studio and a Reformer studio overlooking extensive countryside. Nestled between the two studios we have a small therapy room offering a wide range of alternative therapies.
Sarah Palmer, owner of Studio One and Pilates/BarreConcept instructor has introduced a diverse mix of 15 various teachers and therapists who rent the Studio offering an impressive variety of classes for both adults and children.
We are primarily course based. This is so that we control the number of clients who attend each class. Teaching quality rather than quantity ensures technique is our number one priority. Studio One prides itself on delivering a personal bespoke approach rather than the faceless system of accepting online bookings. Our aim is to ensure every client is in the right class therefore working to a relevant speed and intensity guaranteeing personal goals and desired results are obtained.
Our philosophy is about quality rather than quantity. Our clients comment that by committing to a day and time each week, they are more likely to attend. By being involved and an important valued member of the group class they receive personal attention relevant to their requirements and therefore better value for money in the long term. Our retention rate is second to none.
Each instructor who uses our space organises their own admin and client bookings. Most of us offer a free taster sessions where appropriate to help you find the right class before committing to a course.
The duration of our courses vary from 10 to 14 weeks depending on the term and start from £11 per session in the main Studio (max 14) and £23 in our Reformer Studio (max 5). If you cannot commit to a course, some instructors offer drop in options, however those paying for a block are given first priority and pay less. Some instructors also offer an online catch up system for course members to help make up for any classes they cannot attend.
